Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Inc. in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Controls/Ignition Gold/Robotics Engineer to specify, program, and validate control systems for industrial applications.

The role covers PLC/Servo control programming, HMI/SCADA development, control panel design, instrumentation specs, and field service/commissioning at client sites. The successful candidate will manage projects with strong communication skills, implement various controller languages, and travel up to 30% including

Qualifications

• Four to Fifteen years of experience in relevant control systems disciplines.
• Experience in industries such as Food & Beverage, building systems, oil & gas, or grain handling.
• Strong understanding of HMI/SCADA platforms and PLC/PAx/servo systems.
• Proficiency with SQL database scripting and data management.
• Experience with electrical schematics, NEC references, and control panel design.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, detail, and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery.
• Develop control system architectures and document components and wiring schematics.
• Program controllers (PLC, PAx, Servo) and process visualization (HMI/SCADA).
• Design network architectures interfacing with Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and Modbus.
• Assist with start-up, debugging, and creation of system documentation.
