Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer in Wilmington, MA to design and implement control systems for industrial processes. You will program PLC/DCS/RTU, create HMI/SCADA visuals, and develop data databases for historical data and reporting.

The role requires a BS in a related field and 5+ years of experience, with strong knowledge of Rockwell, HMI/SCADA platforms, and DeltaV. Occasional travel up to 25% is expected as projects require on-site commissioning.

Qualifications

BS required in Electrical/Control Eng, Mechanical Eng, Chemical Eng, or CS.
5+ years experience in controls engineering preferred.
Experience programming PLC/DCS/HMI in industrial settings.
Familiar with electrical schematics, NEC standards, and field instrumentation.
Knowledge of industrial networking and protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus).

Responsibilities

Conceptualize, detail and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery.
Program PLC, DCS, and RTU; develop HMI/SCADA visuals.
Develop databases for archiving/displaying historical data.
Design/modify control panels and instrument specifications.
Provide commissioning support and on-site execution; lead junior engineers if needed.
