Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to lead controls and automation projects within the facility. You will install new systems and upgrade existing systems across manufacturing locations, leveraging PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA for optimal productivity.

The role requires hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and Wonderware Aveva ArchestrA, plus .NET and SQL knowledge. Expect travel up to 25% and a strong emphasis on collaboration and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
• Proficient in PLC programming, HMI, SCADA, and electrical controls.
• Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI development, Wonderware Aveva ArchestrA.
• Experience with .NET programming, SQL Databases, and Ethernet/IP Communication.
• Open to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, install, and commission control systems to optimize manufacturing processes and increase productivity.
• Programming and integrating PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems for automated equipment.
• Provide Controls and Automation Systems technical support to other company locations.
• Design and selection of plant control system architecture (control panels, hardware, communication protocols, etc.).
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
