RS Automation is a growing engineering firm in Albion, NY, specializing in process and control automation. We are seeking a Controls Engineer or PLC Programmer to design, program, and test automated systems for a variety of industries.

The role includes onsite commissioning, troubleshooting, and collaboration with mechanical/electrical engineers. You will work with Allen-Bradley platforms (Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000) and HMI tools (FactoryTalk View ME/SE), contribute to FAT/SAT activities, and

Competenze

B.S. degree in Engineering or related experience (2–4 years acceptable).
Experience developing and troubleshooting industrial PLC programs.
Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC platforms and Rockwell software.
Experience developing or modifying industrial HMI applications.
Understanding of industrial electrical controls, sensors, instrumentation, and motor control systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Strong communication skills and customer interaction.

Mansioni

Develop, program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC systems using Studio 5000 and ladder logic.
Design and develop HMI applications using FactoryTalk View ME/SE, including alarms and trends.
Perform onsite commissioning, startup, testing, and troubleshooting of automated machinery.
Develop and implement control sequences, interlocks, PID loops, and automation features.
Integrate and configure VFDs, servo drives, sensors, and industrial networks.
Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers for seamless integration.
Review electrical schematics and support panel design and installation.
Conduct FAT/SAT and system validation.
Troubleshoot customer equipment and implement programming updates.
Maintain PLC/HMI documentation and backups.
Provide technical training and direct customer support.
