Job summary

COA Network Inc. in Troy, MI seeks an engineer to lead end-to-end control-system projects. You will work hands-on with electrical, controls, and manufacturing technologies and collaborate directly with the Director of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Strong experience in industrial instrumentation, controls, and automation.
• Experience designing, building, and programming PLC-based control systems.
• Strong ladder-logic programming experience.
• Siemens PLC and drive-platform experience required (Step 7, S120).
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review control-system architecture, flow diagrams, P&IDs, control sequences, and design specifications.
• Develop and review wiring schematics and control-panel layouts.
• Program and integrate PLC and HMI systems.
• Work with industrial control platforms including Siemens, Allen-Bradley, GE, Wago, and similar technologies.
• Perform system functionality testing.
• Create instrument indexes, BOMs, responsibility matrices, and project documentation.
• Conduct I/O checkout and troubleshooting.
• Calibrate instrumentation and tune PID loops.
• Perform equipment start-up and validation.
• Validate programming against control sequences.
• Support equipment installation and commissioning at customer locations.
• Perform risk and hazard analyses.
