World Class Manufacturer near Oneida, NY is seeking a Controls Engineer to design and implement machine control systems. You will program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, ladder logic, and Siemens controls while supporting multiple local facilities with about 30% travel.

Qualifications include an engineering degree (AAS/BS) with 5+ years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, PLCs, and HMIs, and familiarity with NEC and safety standards. Eligible to work in the US without restriction.

Qualifications

• AAS or BS in Engineering and 5+ years of experience. Will also consider multiple years of equivalent experience in lieu of formal degree.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code and machine safety standard.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in US without restriction indefinitely.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop machine control systems using AutoCAD, including sizing and selection of motors, VFDs, protection devices.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and ladder logic systems, along with Siemens controls support.
• Lead installation, integration, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment across multiple local facilities (≈30% travel).
• Provide hands-on electrical and controls troubleshooting support to maintenance teams, including diagnostics, upgrades, wiring, and real-time issue resolution.
• Connect to equipment, diagnose control system issues, and modify or develop PLC logic to support production and operational improvements.
