System One is seeking a Sr. Controls Engineer for Morgantown, WV to design and implement control systems for aseptic filling and processing lines, ensuring reliability and leading electrical/instrumentation projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years in controls in GMP/regulated environments, extensive PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, B&R), startup experience, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Process, Controls, Automation, or Electrical Engineering.
• MBA considered a plus.
• 5+ years of controls/electrical engineering experience in aseptic processing or GMP/FDA/ISO/USDA environments.
• 2-5 years in technical or operational assignments.
• Strong cause-effect analytical abilities.
• Ability to work with operations and technical teams to optimize process performance.
• Proficient in problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis.
• Able to troubleshoot electrical, process, and automation issues.
• Aseptic manufacturing and packaging experience required.
• Dairy manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and B&R PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, and gearboxes.
• Extensive PLC programming and computer programming skills.
• Knowledge of reading electrical schematics.
• Startup experience.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering principles.
• Excellent analytical, management, verbal, written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop the control architecture to collect data and improve plant and package line reliability.
• Standardize electrical components and designs to simplify operations.
• Provide control systems design and development for varying complexities.
• Interpret vendor/customer specs and align with company standards.
• Maintain continuous production by supporting electrical control systems.
• Follow plant electrical controls standards and change management processes.
• Coordinate with electricians and contractors to meet project dates and budgets.
• Train staff on operation and maintenance of aseptic and ESL lines.
• Design, build, test, and debug aseptic lines and material handling systems.
• Own the controls software/hardware lifecycle and lead projects.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety requirements.
