Job summary

Intepros is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to drive automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a highly automated food manufacturing environment. The role focuses on optimizing electrical and control systems, improving equipment reliability, and delivering capital projects.

You will lead PLC programming, SCADA/MES enhancements, and data-driven solutions while partnering with cross-functional teams to boost productivity, quality, safety, and overall manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
3+ years in industrial controls, electrical automation, or manufacturing engineering.
Hands-on PLC programming and electrical control systems experience.
Experience with electrical design, power distribution, and project execution.
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and industrial safety standards.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, program, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial control systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
Develop PLC, HMI, SCADA, and MES solutions to support automated operations.
Identify and implement controls optimization to reduce downtime and improve throughput.
Monitor plant control systems, networks, and performance; address obsolescence.
Lead electrical and controls projects from concept to installation and commissioning.
