Job summary

Riot Platforms in Rockdale, TX is seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer to lead commissioning and project delivery for liquid-cooled, mission-critical data centers.

You will own on-site commissioning, vendor management, and integration with EPMS/BMS/SCADA, working with thermal and mechanical teams. Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates while you grow the controls group at Riot.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of controls engineering experience.
• Hands-on commissioning and vendor management experience.
• Strong knowledge of EPMS and BMS/SCADA integration and commissioning.
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and OPC-UA.
• Comfort owning incident response and change management for live infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site commissioning and project management across deployments.
• Own commissioning and vendor management for new deployments as they come online.
• Support monitoring, alarm thresholds, and controls integration with our teams.
• Lead hands-on, on-site troubleshooting and technical support for our operations teams.
• Mentor and develop junior controls team members.
• As workload stabilizes, review and co-own controls standards and governance.
