Job summary
Amazon is seeking a Sr. Controls Systems Engineer in MA to own hands-on design, programming, commissioning, and operation of controls across our manufacturing environment.
You will architect PLCs, build SCADA/HMI applications, integrate industrial robots, and guide controls integration across MES, ERP, WMS, and QMS. Working autonomously, you will lead through technical depth on pilot lines to high-volume production, setting controls standards, mentoring engineers, and driving reliability,
Qualifications
- 7+ years in controls engineering, industrial automation, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience deploying control systems from pilot through production ramp.
- Experience designing and programming PLC architectures (Siemens TIA Portal and/or Rockwell).
- Experience with SCADA/HMI design, deployment, and management.
- Experience coordinating with system integrators and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Design, program PLC architecture and standards for scalable production.
- Develop SCADA/HMI layer and real-time line visibility.
- Implement MES/ERP/WMS/QMS integration at the controls layer.
- Lead commissioning, ramp, and line deployment with vendors and integrators.
- Mentor engineers and uphold high engineering quality and safety.
