Job summary

CTG's premier client seeks a Control Systems Engineer to manage, modify, and develop computer systems for optical fiber manufacturing. The role requires collaboration with engineers and production teams to ensure reliable automated control systems and user interfaces.

The position is onsite in Wilmington, NC, with day-to-day responsibilities including production support, capital projects, and troubleshooting in a 24/7 operation; 5+ years experience and a Bachelor's in relevant field are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in a technical role or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist a team of engineers in providing production support and troubleshooting for a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
• Collaborate with production associates, technicians, and engineers to ensure reliable equipment operation via automated control systems and user interfaces.
• Support process and product optimization/improvement efforts.
• Provide training for engineers and/or production associates as needed for new processes, equipment, or control systems.
• Participate in capital projects.
• Provide occasional after-hours, on-call support as needed.
