Job summary

Alliance Automation is seeking a Controls Engineer IV to lead complex automation projects. You will own technical direction for machine-control architectures, coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams, and mentor junior engineers.

The role emphasizes hands-on programming, troubleshooting, and risk management across multi-discipline projects. You will work with PLC/PAC platforms, robotics, vision, and motion control, traveling to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

Engineering or technical degree, related technical education, or equivalent experience.
Approximately 8+ years of controls engineering or industrial automation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop advanced machine-control architectures and integration strategies.
Provide hands-on technical leadership for large, complex automation projects from concept to customer acceptance.
Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and project recovery for challenging initiatives.
Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support with feasibility reviews and labor estimates.
Mentor engineers and contribute to programming standards and reusable code.
