Job summary

Dynamic Controls Inc. in Visalia, CA is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our engineering team.

You will design, program, test, and commission industrial control systems, including PLC/PAC, HMI, and SCADA, while leading project work and mentoring junior engineers. You’ll work with Rockwell, Siemens, and Automation Direct platforms, develop control logic, and contribute to ISA-based documentation and instrumentation BOMs.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in industrial controls; design, programming, testing, and commissioning.
Background with PLC/PAC, HMI, SCADA.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Expert in Rockwell, Siemens, and Automation Direct platforms.
Proven project leadership with moderate guidance.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and ePLAN.
Familiar with ISA symbols, P&ID tagging, and control documentation.

Responsibilities

Design and development of control systems, including PLC/PAC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems.
SCADA server specifications, configuration, architecture design, and optimization.
Develop process control logic including Sequencers, Batch, CIP, and line control.
Perform software unit testing.
Develop simulation logic and perform Factory Acceptance Tests.
Understand instrumentation types, manufacturers, scaling, and troubleshooting.
Design Instrumentation BOMs and control panels BOMs.
Interpret P&ID’s with ISA tagging conventions; prepare control docs.
Design control panels layouts and schematics in AutoCAD Electrical and ePLAN.
Perform IQ/OQ/PQ during project commissioning in industrial settings.
Handle service calls during/after business hours.
Lead and mentor junior staff and coordinate with project teams.
