Job summary

Terabase Energy, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to design and commission plant control systems for utility-scale solar, storage, and hybrid projects.

You will execute controls development under senior engineers, work with IEC 61131-3/PLC programming, and prepare comprehensive technical documentation. The role emphasizes hands-on project execution, process improvements, and collaboration with EPCs and grid operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Control Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years IEC 61131-3/PLC programming experience, preferably in Codesys or AcSELerator.
• 2+ years of utility-scale renewable power plant controls experience (solar, BESS, or hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Execute controls design for utility-scale solar, BESS, and hybrid projects under guidance of senior engineers.
• Review project scope to identify requirements and deviations from standard Terabase controls.
• Develop and test control logic; document requirements, testing, and results in lab environments.
• Produce deliverables: System Architecture Diagrams, Control Narratives, Logic Diagrams, commissioning docs.
• Support FATs, customer presentations, and on-site commissioning with technical materials.
