Job summary

Invio Automation, a leader in Industry 4.0 automation, seeks a Controls Engineer to join a project team delivering hardware and software controls knowledge from design to deployment. Travel within US or internationally will be required.

You will review designs, analyze requirements, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with multiple departments to ensure reliable, cost-efficient solutions and successful startup at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in automated controls systems.
• Experience with Robotic Controls and programming platforms.
• Experience with Industrial Vision Systems.
• PLC/HMI programming with emphasis on Allen Bradley, Rockwell, and Siemens.
• Industrial machinery controls design.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or Eplan for control packages.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews at all levels (proposal, standards, project).
• Analyze customer requirements and participate in proposal development.
• Manage technical solutions to minimize costs while maintaining reliability.
• Coordinate with other departments to satisfy project requirements; drive process improvements.
• Provide industry-specific application knowledge and direction.
• Develop project requirements and design specifications.
• Maintain customer specifications and deviation logging.
• Provide support for product development and support.
• Perform detailed system design, implementation and test.
• Participate in startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance at site.
• Diagnose problems with pneumatic and mechanical systems interfacing with electrical/electronic systems.
• Develop tools and integration strategies to increase effectiveness and lower costs.
• Investigate and suggest architecture and technology enhancements.
• Complete project tasks on schedule and under budget.
