Job summary

Thermo Systems LLC is onsite in Carmel, IN and seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to lead start-up, FATs, and automation integration for diverse projects. You will interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control system documentation while delivering PLC-based and HMI-driven solutions.

Ideal candidates have a 4+ year background in industrial automation, strong troubleshooting, and collaboration skills to coordinate with project teams and customers across high-impact settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Typically 4+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or system integration environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering tasks or small project scopes.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up and commissioning of control systems.
• Lead FATs for automation systems.
• Interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control system documentation.
• Develop and implement HMI and PLC-based automation solutions.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide feedback on field conditions and system design.
