Job summary

Thermo Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead energy-focused control projects, including chillers, boilers, HRSGs, and related equipment. You will guide design, testing, and documentation, while mentoring engineers and supporting business development.

The role requires 10+ years in control systems, a PE license or certifications, and the ability to travel up to 50%. You will work with project teams to deliver high-impact automation solutions across energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of total experience.
• 3+ years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or equivalent).
• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex system design including I/O design, architecture, submittals, and testing documentation.
• Provide technical direction across multiple projects and teams.
• Support business development through technical proposals and presentations.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery.
• Mentor engineers and provide expert guidance across technical, financial, and operational domains.
• Lead full project lifecycles when assigned and serve as primary customer contact for assigned projects.
• Identify scope changes and new business opportunities.

Education

10+ years total experience

3+ years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II
