Job summary

LHP Engineering Solutions is seeking an Application Engineer - Software & Controls to join the Advanced Systems Team in Glendale Heights, IL. You will develop and implement software for electronic control of mobile/off-highway systems, and provide hardware support to customers.

Responsibilities include testing, simulating, and validating software in laboratory or vehicle environments, with opportunities to travel to customer sites. Strong MATLAB/Simulink/C/C++ or Codesys experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a technology field required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years software coding experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++ or Codesys is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Provide software and hardware support for mobile/off-highway systems.
• Develop application software for electronic control of mobile systems.
• Simulate, test and validate software in lab or on vehicle.
• On-site customer support and customer-facing representation.
• Develop and implement functionally safe software.
