Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Sr. Controls Specialist to support maintenance and capital projects for the Nederland NGL Terminal. The site houses Deltav DCS and Allen Bradley PLCs across the facility, a major US hub for NGL exports.

You will work with process engineering to implement APC/MPC projects, ensure system integrity, and support OT and cyber security while documenting configurations and test results, in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

HS Diploma and 8+ years of relevant job-related experience in process controls.
Knowledge of EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, and Modbus protocols.
DCS experience developing basic and advanced process control systems.
Familiarity with PLC programming and hardware configuration.
Manage software revisions, site licensing, and security concepts.
Strong communication, organization, and multi-project handling.

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance with troubleshooting, optimization, design, configuration, and programming of process control systems.
Collaborate with process engineering to execute APC and MPC projects from design through startup.
Lead SIS upgrades and modifications per IEC 61511.
Ensure plant control system integrity and cybersecurity compliance.
Document configurations, test results, and lifecycle activities.
Coordinate with OT staff and third-party vendors during projects.
