Job summary

Energy Transfer seeks a Sr Controls Specialist for the Nederland NGL Terminal in Nederland, TX. You will maintain and advance DCS/PLC systems (DeltaV, Rockwell) across the facility, supporting APC/MPC projects from design through startup and ensuring safety and reliability across operations.

Spend time configuring, testing, and commissioning control solutions, while coordinating with process engineers, OT, and maintenance to keep equipment current and compliant with industry standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 8+ years of experience in process controls.
• Knowledge of EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, and Modbus protocols; DCS/basic/advanced control.
• PLC programming and hardware configuration experience.
• Familiarity with network concepts and cyber security.
• Knowledge of process instrumentation and control.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance with troubleshooting, optimization, design, configuration, and programming of process control systems.
• Assist engineering in APC/MPC projects from design through startup.
• Lead SIS recommendations, upgrades, and documentation per IEC 61511.
• Ensure DCS integrity and monitor system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with OT, operations, and maintenance to support plant reliability.
