Job summary
ATC Automation in Simi Valley, CA seeks a Mid-Senior Controls Engineer to design, develop and support custom automation equipment across multiple industries. You will program, commission and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and vision systems, while reading electrical schematics and developing control software.
The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical engineering, at least five years in industrial automation, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years in custom automation or related industrial controls.
- Strong PLC, HMI, motion control, robotics and industrial networks knowledge.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop, program, troubleshoot, and support industrial automation systems.
- Read, interpret, and create electrical and pneumatic schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Design, develop, and debug complex control programs for industrial machinery.
- Support installation, startup, commissioning, and validation of systems.
- Travel to customer facilities for installation and support activities.
