Crawford Thomas Recruiting seeks a Senior Controls Engineer for custom industrial automation in Hopewell Junction, NY. The role owns electrical control systems from design through testing and commissioning, collaborating with mechanical engineers and customers on unique automation projects.

You will design, program, and integrate PLCs, HMIs, and motion systems across medical device, automotive, and manufacturing sectors, with travel up to 10% internationally.

Qualifikationen

• 7-10 years of hands-on controls engineering experience.
• Advanced Allen-Bradley / Rockwell programming experience.
• Experience configuring multi-axis servo systems (Kinetix / Yaskawa).
• Experience with PowerFlex VFDs and linear motion systems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical industry experience.
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Aufgaben

• Design complete electrical control systems for custom machinery.
• Develop schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and BOMs using AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical.
• Program and deploy Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLCs using Studio 5000 / Logix Designer.
• Develop FactoryTalk View HMI applications.
• Configure and tune multi-axis servo systems, VFDs, and linear motion equipment.
• Integrate Ethernet/IP, remote I/O, sensors, and safety circuits.
• Lead hands-on machine debugging, I/O checkout, and FAT.
• Support field commissioning and SAT at customer sites.
• Provide technical documentation and troubleshooting support.
