Job summary

Kubota seeks a Senior Controls Engineer in Gainesville, GA to lead design and deployment of advanced automated systems across production lines. You will steer PLC development, ensure safety and reliability, and collaborate with IT and MES teams to integrate controls with enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of controls engineering, automation, or related discipline.
• Proven track record leading complex automation projects and mentoring junior engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in automation engineering or related field required; equivalency considered.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and optimize PLC programs (Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi) for complex production systems.
• Lead safety, reliability, and scalability improvements in manufacturing controls.
• Develop and enforce company-wide controls standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and MES teams to integrate automation with enterprise platforms.
• Oversee documentation including schematics, risk assessments, and procedures.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and maintenance staff.
