Job summary

Kubota is seeking a Controls Engineer for Gainesville, GA or Jefferson, GA. The role focuses on designing and deploying advanced automation solutions across manufacturing operations, with hands-on impact on the production floor.

You will develop PLC programs, integrate with MES, and lead initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability while collaborating with IT and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience in software development, programming, or engineering/IT disciplines.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI, and MES systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and optimize PLC programs for high-performance production equipment.
• Partner with manufacturing engineers to design, specify, build, test, and commission new mechatronic systems.
• Research emerging technologies and engineer robust, scalable controls solutions.
• Lead and support maintenance teams in troubleshooting complex controls issues.
• Collaborate with IT to integrate automation systems with Kubota’s MES platform.
• Create equipment specifications, manage procurement, and oversee installation of controls hardware.
