Job summary

Thermo Systems is seeking a Controls Engineer III to lead design, integration, and delivery of automation projects onsite in Mansfield, TX or Duquesne, PA. The role offers $90,000-$120,000 annually with bonus eligibility and up to 60% travel, and may involve on-call rotation.

You will guide start-up, FAT testing, and field support, while developing PLC/HMI solutions and ensuring safety and project alignment. A Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years’ experience are typical requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Typical 4+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or system integration.
• Proven experience leading engineering tasks or small project scopes.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up and commissioning of control systems.
• Perform FAT for automation systems and ensure quality.
• Interpret diagrams and provide field condition feedback.
• Develop and implement HMI and PLC-based automation solutions.
• Collaborate with project teams and customers to meet project scope.
