Job summary

ON.energy is redefining large load interconnection with its AI UPS platform, delivering grid-safe data centers. We seek a Senior Controls Engineer to own control hardware design, I/O architecture and documentation, driving the product from design through factory testing and site commissioning.

You will collaborate with power electronics, battery systems, software and project teams to evolve the controls platform while ensuring security and reliability across OT networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls or Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on controls engineering in product development, OEM or industrial settings.
• Experience designing control panels and hardware from schematic through build and test.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control system hardware for AI UPS product line including panels, I/O, controllers and HMI selection.
• Produce and maintain controls documentation: schematics, layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs and as-built drawings.
• Define control architecture between subsystems and site-level SCADA/EMS integration.
• Integrate and validate industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC-UA, IEC 61850).
• Specify OT networking requirements and coordinate with IT for secure, reliable segmentation.
• Select and qualify vendors for controllers and panels; collaborate with panel builders on manufacturability.
