Milwaukee Tool in Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to design, model, simulate, and implement advanced control algorithms for battery systems and power tool technology. You will collaborate with hardware, firmware and system engineers to deliver next breakthroughs, using MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow.

This role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years in industry, plus experience reading schematics, embedded C/C++, and proficiency with power electronics.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of related industry work experience.
Working knowledge of model-based control development using MATLAB/Simulink.

Responsibilities

Design, model, simulate, and implement advanced control algorithms for battery systems and power tool technology.
Collaborate with Hardware and Firmware Engineers to optimize control solutions.
Conduct experiments and analyze data to validate control algorithms.
Peer review software and controls designs/source code.
Develop manufacturing-minded designs for mass production of tools.
