Job summary

AtmosZero, Inc. is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to own major portions of the industrial controls system for Boiler 2.0. You will work across design docs, PLC code, HMI/SCADA, panels, field devices, and testing to deliver a robust, scalable control platform.

You will collaborate with process and thermal engineers, manufacturing, and suppliers to translate operation theory into tested controls behavior and reliable commissioning packages for repeatable production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience developing and commissioning industrial control systems.
• Proficiency with IEC 61131-3 programming, including Structured Text and Ladder or Function Block Diagram.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the 1 MW controls system for Boiler 2.0 platform.
• Complete PLC programming, sequence implementation, and system-level testing.
• Develop startup, operation, shutdown, maintenance, fault, trip, and recovery behavior with interlocks and alarms.
• Own controls issue resolution during panel checkout, I/O checkout, build, FAT, SAT, and early operation.
• Build the controls architecture and software platform with modular, state-based design.
• Configure Siemens PLCs, distributed I/O, networks, drives, and field devices.
