We have a Senior Controls Engineer position available in our Hampton, NH office. This role involves controls engineering project requirements including control panel design, RTU, SCADA, & PLC programming, networking, databases, instrumentation, check-out support, and start-up assistance for applications in the Power Utility and Industrial markets.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Clarify and document customer and Business Unit Manager requirements. Maintain customer relationships to promote repeat business.
  • Supervise Engineers, Technicians, and Designers as needed.
  • Develop Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Test Plans, Software Design Specifications (SDS), and support documentation for project success.
  • Design, develop, and implement control systems (logic software and hardware).
  • Create control and network architecture documents, including IP schemes and switch configurations.
  • Develop control logic software and user interfaces, integrating ladder logic, SCADA, RTU, and IED programming, with familiarity in SQL databases.
  • Select appropriate hardware and software components, and work with process instruments.
  • Develop schematics and wiring diagrams, and design equipment panel layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Assist with system start-up, debugging, and documentation.
  • Work on automation and control system projects across various industries.
  • Perform general administrative tasks related to paperwork and computer use.
  • Assist with assembling and wiring control panels.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Controls; related degrees or equivalent experience accepted.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Energy, Power Utility, or Industrial Manufacturing.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Physical Demands: Seeing, color perception, hearing, listening, speech, dexterity, driving, lifting, climbing, mounting/dismounting equipment, pushing, pulling.

Working Conditions: Office, on-site, industrial, and Power Plant/Utility environments with frequent PC and machinery use.
