Job summary

Edison Smart is building a team of senior controls commissioning engineers for warehouse automation projects across the US. You will lead on-site commissioning, perform I/O checkout, troubleshoot PLC logic, and work with software teams on WCS/WMS interfaces through SAT and go-live support.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in controls commissioning, strong experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 or Siemens TIA Portal, and readiness to travel between US locations on multi-site projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of controls commissioning in material handling, intralogistics, parcel or e-commerce fulfillment
• Experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and/or Siemens TIA Portal
• Willingness to travel and lead on-site independently

L3 Controls Commissioning | Material Handling & Intralogistics | 12-Month Contract | Multiple US Locations Available

Edison Smart is building a team of senior controls commissioning engineers for upcoming warehouse automation and material handling projects across the US. You’ll work with leading system integrators on new-build and retrofit distribution centers, taking systems from I/O checkout through to customer handover.

What you’ll do

• Lead on-site commissioning of conveyor, sortation and ASRS systems
• Carry out I/O checkout, PLC logic troubleshooting and field modifications
• Test and debug WCS/WMS interfaces alongside software teams
• Run SAT, throughput testing and go-live support
• Act as the senior controls lead on site, supporting L1/L2 engineers and working closely with client and integrator project managers

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of controls commissioning in material handling, intralogistics, parcel or e-commerce fulfillment
• Strong Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000) and/or Siemens (TIA Portal) experience
• Hands-on experience with high-speed sortation, conveyor, ASRS or shuttle systems
• Confident working independently as the senior controls engineer on site
• Willing to travel, including extended periods on site
• Authorized to work in the US (W2, 1099 and C2C contractors welcome)
