Job summary
Carrier is seeking a Principal Controls Engineer to lead the architecture and deployment of control solutions across HVAC and refrigeration products. This onsite role will influence technology roadmaps and work with multiple business units.
East Syracuse, NY or Kennesaw, GA are the primary locations, with a Monday–Friday day schedule. You will drive development of common control platforms, ensure compliance with requirements, and lead advanced algorithm development, testing, and validation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of advanced controls experience or Master’s with 7+ years.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for embedded control algorithms.
- Willingness to reside within commutable distance to East Syracuse, NY.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of common controls platforms across product lines.
- Deliver robust, production-ready control solutions meeting requirements and standards.
- Drive project execution with clear technical goals and timelines.
- Support system-level requirements and low-level control decompositions.
- Develop advanced control algorithms and plant models; validate and tune solutions.
- Lead MIL/SIL/HIL testing and lab/field validation activities.
- Drive quality improvements and technology roadmap initiatives.
