Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Controller to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of its accounting records and financial reporting to support its mission. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Accounting, you will lead the general ledger, monthly close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation, while supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, royalties, and banking operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Experience with GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual close processes with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and accurate subledger balance.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules per GAAP.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, royalties, and cash applications.
• Develop internal controls and improvements to accounting systems.
• Collaborate with Director of Finance on budgeting and forecasting.
