Job summary

StoragePRO Management in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a detail‑driven Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations at the corporate level. You will oversee property‑level and corporate reporting and manage the accounting team.

This on‑site role reports to the Director of Accounting and requires GAAP compliance, strong financial controls, and collaboration with senior leadership on strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
• 5+ years of senior-level accounting/finance management experience, preferably in property management/real estate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee property-level and corporate financial reporting.
• Manage accounting team and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Provide senior management with timely financial reviews and status updates.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and tax considerations.
• Collaborate with Asset Management on budgets and distributions.
• Establish benchmarks, budgets, and reporting standards with the Director of Accounting.
