Job summary

StoragePRO is seeking a Commercial Property Accountant to join our Walnut Creek team. You will prepare and maintain financial records to track balance sheet and income statement activities, working closely with property teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities include monthly statements, reconciliations, rent charge postings, delinquencies, CAM year-end reconciliations, and budgeting collaboration with operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and 2–4 years of commercial property accounting experience or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficient in planning and organizing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and post journal entries.
• Record and reconcile tenant rent charges and payments and maintain tenant ledgers accurately.
• Follow up on delinquencies and manage collections.
• Lead year-end CAM reconciliations and verify calculations against leases.
• Partner with operations and asset management on property budgets.
• Track tenant certificates of insurance and maintain lease data in the system.

As our Commercial Property Accountant, you'll prepare and maintain financial records to track the store/property’s balance sheet and income statement activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly financial statements, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and book journal entries


• Record and reconcile tenant rent charges and payments (ACH, wires, checks) and keep tenant ledgers accurate


• Follow up on delinquencies and manage collections


• Lead year-end CAM reconciliations and verify calculations against leases


• Partner with operations and asset management on property operating budgets


• Track tenant certificates of insurance


• Enter and maintain lease data in our property management/accounting system

Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, plus 2-4 years of commercial property accounting experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)


• Strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel


• Proficient in planning and organizing tasks, managing priorities, and utilizing available resources to complete tasks within the deadline


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Bonus: Yardi experience
