Job summary

Strive Surgical in New York is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations across multiple entities, reporting to the CFO. The role blends in-office leadership with one day remote work and requires building the infrastructure for new service lines, sites, and acquisitions.

Base salary is $180,000–$200,000, plus a 10% target bonus and benefits; requires CPA, 8+ years in accounting (with public firm experience preferred) and strong NetSuite/US GAAP expertise.

Qualifications

• CPA required and active license.
• 8+ years accounting experience, incl. 3+ years in public accounting.
• Healthcare accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual close across multiple entities in NetSuite.
• Own the annual financial statement audit: planning, preparing audit schedules, and serving as the main contact for the audit firm.
• Work with the in-house billing team on patient revenue recognition, contractual adjustments, A/R reserves, and cash reconciliation.
• Design, document, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Manage account reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and the balance sheet.
• Coordinate with outside tax advisors on entity filings.
• Improve close processes and systems, including NetSuite and Coupa.
• Build accounting processes for new ASCs, service lines, and acquisitions.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team.
