Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 10+ years in senior accounting leadership within mortgage servicing or related financial services, including Controller-level experience.
• Direct experience with mortgage servicing accounting and MSR valuations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience overseeing payroll, accounts payable, cash management, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting across multiple business entities.
• Manage month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and financial statements.
• Oversee MSR valuations and ensure compliance with mortgage servicing accounting standards.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and regulators.
• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, debt reporting, and lender covenant compliance.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, financial controls, and fraud prevention procedures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and strengthen financial systems.
• Lead and develop accounting professionals.
• Review financial contracts to determine asset ownership and proper accounting treatment.
