Job summary

HRB in Round Rock, Texas is seeking a Controller to lead the finance and accounting team and oversee all day-to-day operations. The role focuses on accuracy of books, improving close processes, and modernization of accounting systems.

The ideal candidate has 8–10+ years of leadership in accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience with consolidation and inter-company reporting. Public accounting or audit background is preferred, with CPA a plus.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• MST/MBA in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required.
• Public accounting or audit experience is required.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial statement preparation experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations and lead the accounting staff (5).
• Ensure accurate books and records and liaise with external CPA firm.
• Modernize accounting records and systems and improve close processes.
• Provide strategic financial insights through analysis, reporting, and recommendations.
• Mentor and manage the accounting and finance team; drive cost controls.
• Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and external reporting.
• Support compliance with tax provisions and local laws.
