Job summary

A dynamic contracting firm in Nevada is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support its central financial operations. This role involves managing accounting policies, overseeing functions such as accounts receivable and payroll processing for over 100 employees, while ensuring compliance with financial reporting. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years construction or general accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in construction software (Vista Viewpoint is IDEAL).

Responsibilities

• Manage AIA progress billing and collections for Accounts Receivable.
• Work with the PO System for Accounts Payable.
• Process payroll for over 100 employees weekly.
• Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports.
• Lead general ledger reviews and assist in financial statement preparation.

Position Overview

As our Assistant Controller, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial stability and driving our continued success. Your responsibilities include managing a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, overseeing outsourced functions, and leading the accounting department to meet our goals.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable: AIA progress billing, managing lien releases, oversee collections
• Accounts Payable: Work within a PO System of checks and balances with job costing; verify balances due against releases provided to expedite billing.
• Payroll entry and weekly processing for 100+ employees
• Quarterly and Annual Payroll Reports - 940/941, SUTA, Fuel Rebate Filing, W-2’s, and 1099’s
Weekly 401K Contribution Reporting
• Certified Payroll/Davis Bacon - Prevailing Wage Weekly Reporting and Compliance
• Job Costing/Fuel Usage Maintenance/Company Data Management.
• General Ledger Reviews and assists in financial statement preparation.

Qualifications
