Job summary

The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard in Philadelphia, PA seeks an experienced Controller to lead our Finance department. Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee payroll, accounts payable, cash management, and financial reporting for a not-for-profit healthcare organization.

This senior role requires strong experience in healthcare finance, not-for-profit accounting, and supervisory responsibilities. The Controller will drive internal controls, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
MBA and/or CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely.
Lead and oversee payroll function and related processes, including ADP Workforce Now integration and biweekly payroll processing.
Oversee the accounting and reporting of all transactions, including journal entries and bank reconciliations.
Coordinate and prepare monthly financial statements and quarterly reporting to the Board and stakeholders.
Coordinate and prepare Form 990 Tax Return, Medicaid Cost Report, and other required reports.
Manage awarded grants and not-for-profit reporting in compliance with grantor requirements.
Develop and maintain financial policies and internal controls for regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with CFO and other leaders to support financial and organizational goals.
