Executive Leadership Solutions is seeking an experienced Controller for Supermarket Operations in the Greater Boston area. This senior, hands-on role oversees full-cycle accounting across six locations and a central warehouse, with emphasis on cash flow, reporting, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has supermarket accounting experience, expertise in general ledger management, and a track record of accurate, timely financial reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supermarket/grocery accounting experience
• Hands-on full-cycle bookkeeping and reconciliations
• Strong knowledge of grocery retail financials: shrink, margin, weekly P&L
• Excel proficiency with pivot tables and advanced functions
• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the general ledger across store and warehouse entities
• Prepare and post journal entries including AR, retail adjustments, and accruals
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for all locations
• Analyze sales, payroll, shrink, and gross margin to identify discrepancies
• Oversee weekly cash flow planning and treasury activities
• Coordinate with store managers to address financial performance issues
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
