Torc Robotics, Inc. in Blacksburg, VA is seeking a Senior Controller to lead the accounting and tax function, own the close process, financial reporting, and internal controls that underpin growth within the Daimler family.

The role partners with the CFO and cross-functional teams, directs the general ledger, working capital and cash-flow reporting, and prepares analyses for senior leadership; CPA required, 8+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience, and Workday proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; 8+ years' experience.
• CPA license is required.
• Experience leading or mentoring a team in accounting.
• Directing operational accounting with broad scope.
• Hands-on Workday ERP experience; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
• Oversee GL reconciliations, accruals, and account analyses.
• Partner with Finance leadership on business plans and priorities.
• Lead working capital and cash-flow reporting for executives.
• Maintain accurate financial reporting for P&L, taxes, and balance sheet.
• Prepare special reports and analyses for senior leaders.
• Design and improve accounting policies and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations.
• Advise leadership on accounting trends and issues.
• Mentor and develop accounting managers and staff.
• Protect confidential financial information and data integrity.
• Stay current with accounting standards and best practices.
