Job summary

Torc is seeking a Senior Controller to lead the global accounting function, reporting to the CFO. You will own the close process, drive internal controls, and partner with executives on financial strategy for a multi-entity environment.

The role requires a CPA, 8+ years of accounting leadership, and hands-on Workday experience. You will mentor a team and ensure compliance with SOX and evolving regulations while delivering insightful financial analysis.

Qualifications

• CPA certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience directing an operational accounting function with company-wide impact, including financial statements and budgets.
• Hands-on ERP experience, Workday preferred, and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Direct general ledger reconciliation processes and correct errors.
• Partner with Finance leadership on business plans and global priorities.
• Own cash-flow reporting and working capital analysis for executives.
• Maintain accurate P&L, tax, liabilities, and assets reporting.
• Prepare special reports and analyses for senior leadership.
• Design and improve accounting policies; lead internal controls testing.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international requirements.
• Advise leadership on accounting trends and regulatory issues globally.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting managers and staff.
• Protect sensitive financial data and maintain confidentiality.
• Stay current on accounting standards and best practices.
