Job summary

Engineered Cooling Services is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead accounting operations, drive GAAP-compliant reporting, and strengthen internal controls. You will oversee general ledger, payroll, AR/AP, fixed assets, tax support, and audit coordination.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in accounting with leadership experience, deep GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems. This on-site role offers robust benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of internal controls.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Microsoft GP, Wennsoft, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• High integrity and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
• Prepare timely and accurate GAAP‑compliant financial statements.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries.
• Analyze monthly financial results.
• Ensure accurate consolidation of all ECS entities.
• Manage the general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Supervise fixed asset accounting and depreciation.
• Ensure proper accounting for leases, insurance recoveries, and capital expenditures.
• Coordinate annual financial statement audits and tax filings with external CPA firms.
