Revolution Space in Boston is looking for an Assistant Controller to take charge of the accounting department's daily operations and be the go-to accounting expert below the Director of Finance & Operations. This role will involve ownership of the monthly close and oversight of GAAP financial audits.

Ideal candidates should possess over 10 years of accounting experience, including a strong technical background in revenue recognition and cost accounting in a manufacturing context. Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting background with revenue recognition and cost accounting.
• Experience owning a GAAP audit from start to finish.
• Must be eligible for U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly and annual close process.
• Lead GAAP financial statement audits.
• Ensure general ledger integrity.
• Maintain cost accounting compliance with DCAA.
• Oversee revenue recognition for various contract types.
