Job summary

TruMed Systems, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Controller based in La Jolla, CA to lead accounting operations and build scalable finance processes as the company grows rapidly.

You will own NetSuite, drive period closes, prepare financial statements, and partner with executives on budgeting and financial planning. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, leadership experience, and a track record in SaaS or software accounting.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred is a plus.
• Public accounting plus industry experience is highly valued.
• Strong technical accounting & financial reporting skills (GAAP, ASC 842/606).
• Experience leading accounting teams and driving scalable processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and revenue recognition.
• Direct NetSuite ownership; drive system optimization and integration of modules.
• Prepare monthly/annual financial statements per US GAAP and management reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling with executive leadership.
• Oversee treasury, cash flow forecasting, and banking relations.
• Maintain internal controls and coordinate external audits.
• Ensure tax filing/compliance and regulatory adherence across jurisdictions.
• Partner with Sales, HR, Operations, Engineering for data accuracy and process improvements.
