KBW Financial Staffing is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations for a $20 million services company on the New Hampshire Seacoast. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, internal controls, and providing financial guidance to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, thriving in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control best practices.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• MBA, CPA, or other advanced education or professional certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including coordination of external audit activities.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to leadership to support operational and business decisions.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal control processes.
• Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations.
• Collaborate with department leaders to establish, monitor, and report on financial metrics and KPIs.
• Direct budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and overall financial planning activities.
