Job summary

Under the CFO, the Controller handles reporting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, tax, accounting, and capital projects with a focus on GAAP and internal controls.

The ideal candidate has experience leading an accounting team, ensures accuracy, and supports the company’s seasonal operations and growth goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 5–10 years related experience.
• Experience with Sage Software.
• Experience managing an accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for financial reporting, treasury, budgeting and forecasting, tax, accounting, payroll, and capital projects for the organization.
• Oversees daily operations of the finance and accounting department.
• Ensures staff is properly trained and cross trained; maintains written policies and procedures.
• Maintains proper accounting records and internal controls.
• Produces financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).
• Monitors monthly operating results against budget.
• Recommends benchmarks for financial and operating performance.
• Works with auditors on annual audits and tax returns; implements improvements.
• Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Other related tasks as required.
