Job summary

SBR TECH in Reed City, Michigan, seeks an experienced Controller to lead accounting and financial operations during a growth phase. Reporting to the CEO, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and develop scalable processes.

This hands-on leadership role oversees close, budgeting, forecasting, cash and working capital management, tax, audit and compliance, and the build-out of FP&A capabilities.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CMA/ACCA preferred.
• 10–15+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership.
• At least 5 years in a senior executive role.
• Deep GAAP knowledge; cost accounting and ERP systems.
• Expert Excel skills and strong analytical/problem-solving.
• Experience implementing scalable financial processes and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the close, budgeting and forecasting.
• Manage cash and working capital.
• Lead tax, audit and compliance.
• Design and operate internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting.
• Build a best-in-class FP&A function and KPIs.
• Partner with CEO and leadership on strategic financial decisions.
