Job summary

Peek Travel Inc. is seeking a highly skilled accounting leader to optimize full-cycle accounting, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive scalable processes. You will oversee monthly closes, mentor staff, and partner with the Controller on reporting and policy across entities.

You will own technical accounting research, document memorandums, and lead system improvements, including NetSuite, to support growth. Remote-friendly, with high collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years at a public accounting firm.
• Proficiency in researching technical accounting matters and preparing memorandums.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, including software development and ASC 606.
• Experience in process optimization, simplification, and standardization.
• Familiarity with NetSuite and other financial systems; Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close; liaise with external auditors.
• Manage and mentor accounting team; elevate close ownership.
• Evaluate and strengthen controls, systems, and procedures for scalability.
• Own technical accounting research and documentation; prepare memorandums.
• Partner with Controller on financial reporting, audit readiness, and policy.
• Implement technology and process improvements for new initiatives.
• Lead projects to improve close efficiency and financial system.
• Manage and monitor accounting systems, including NetSuite.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory standards.
• Hire, train, and develop team members; supervise department work.
