Job summary

Harmony Housing Affordable Development Inc. (HHAD) seeks a senior Controller to lead HHAD’s accounting functions, partnering with Harmony Housing’s Corporate Accounting team to ensure timely financial reporting, controls, and GAAP compliance across multi-entity LIHTC projects.

The role oversees development, corporate, and project accounting, construction funding, treasury, and investor reporting, with a focus on scalable infrastructure as HHAD grows, based in Raleigh with remote/hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar discipline required; Master’s preferred.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years progressive accounting experience, incl. 5+ years in leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting functions for HHAD’s corporate and development operations.
• Mentor and develop accounting teams across multiple entities.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting.
• Oversee construction funding, lender draws, and project cost management.
• Maintain internal controls and GAAP compliance across LIHTC and other financing.
